Dear Colleague,
This year the South Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons will be conducting the 23rd Annual Fellow, Resident & Medical Student Surgical Research Forum Paper Presentations. This exciting event will be held from 5:00 - 9:15 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital Diagnostic Treatment Center.
After abstracts were submitted, they were judged in a blinded fashion by the Council of the South Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Thirteen presentations from several institutions were chosen for presentation. Each seven-minute lecture will be followed by five minutes of discussion.
By attending this program, you will be supporting our surgeons and students-in-training. It will also be an excellent opportunity to acquire new knowledge and review the basic foundations of surgical practice. The presentations represent a mixture of clinical and basic science including prospective randomized trials, retrospective reviews, and annual and basic science studies. As such, I am sure that multiple topics will be of practical interest to all of the audience.
In addition, six cash prizes will be awarded to the top three presenters in two categories: Clinical Surgery and Surgical Research.
A buffet dinner will be provided free of charge to all participants.
